Rosalinda and Bryan’s story technically started long before they ever spoke. They went to‬ ‭ middle school together, crossed paths through soccer, and were always around each other, but‬ ‭ never quite connected. Bryan remembers noticing Rosalinda from a distance, too nervous to‬ ‭ say anything. Rosalinda remembers noticing him too… just not quite ready to act on it yet.

 

‬It wasn’t until 2012, on Friday the 13th, that everything officially began. Introduced through their‬ ‭ friend Shannan, they spent the night walking down Elm Street, fully leaning into the “spooky” ‭ theme. Looking back, it’s almost too fitting, considering their shared love for horror and all things‬ ‭ spooky.‬

‭From that night on, something clicked. Bryan was immediately drawn to Rosalinda’s magnetic,‬ ‭ outgoing energy. Rosalinda couldn’t help but notice how funny he was. What started as group‬ ‭ hangouts quickly turned into long nights spent wandering El Segundo, watching terrible horror‬ ‭ movies, and making late-night runs to 7-Eleven for snacks before starting the next film.‬

 

Their relationship didn’t start with labels, it started with friendship. The kind built on constant‬ ‭ laughter, teasing, and an effortless ability to talk about anything and everything. Somewhere in‬ ‭ between late-night walks, rooftop games, and one very bold move (Rosalinda resting her head‬ ‭on Bryan’s shoulder), their bond began to grow into something more.‬

 

But their story wasn’t perfectly linear. At one point, Rosalinda pulled away, unsure of what‬ everything meant, and the two went their separate ways. It was a difficult chapter, one that‬ ‭tested their connection, but it also proved just how strong it was.‬ ‭ Over time, they found their way back to each other. Bryan never really left, showing up as a‬ friend, supporting Rosalinda through school, life milestones, and everything in between.

 

And‬‭ eventually, it became clear: what they had was something deeper.‬ One night, during one of their many drives exploring LA, they found themselves in the Angeles‬ ‭ Mountains, surrounded by nothing but trees and a sky full of stars. In that quiet moment,‬ ‭ Rosalinda said it first: “I think I love you.” Bryan’s response came without hesitation: “I know I love you.”

‭That moment, 10 years ago, changed everything.‬ ‭ Since then, their relationship has been built on a foundation of friendship, communication, and a‬ shared love for life’s little moments. They’ve grown into each other in the best ways, sharing‬ ‭ interests, humor, and even favorite meals, while still balancing each other out perfectly.‬ Rosalinda brings structure, thoughtfulness, and intention. Bryan brings spontaneity, curiosity,‬ ‭ and an endless stream of ideas. Together, they create a dynamic that feels both grounded and‬ ‭ exciting.‬

‭They’ve spent years exploring, driving through LA with no destination, traveling to places like‬ Yosemite and Sequoia, and finding joy in everything from big adventures to simple routines.‬ ‭ Whether it’s debating life’s biggest questions, watching movies, or grabbing a late-night sweet‬ ‭ treat, they’ve built a life that feels full, honest, and deeply connected.‬

 

In 2024, their story reached a new chapter in Kauai, Hawaii. On their final night, after a day‬ ‭ spent at the beach, Bryan nervously guided Rosalinda to Shipwreck Beach, his nerves only‬ ‭ made more obvious by sweaty hands and an uncharacteristic sense of urgency. As the rain‬ ‭cleared at just the right moment, he stopped her, shared how much he loved her and her family,‬ ‭ and got down on one knee.‬ It was perfect.‬

Surrounded by the beauty of the island and celebrating later that night with family, it was a‬ ‭moment that reflected everything their relationship had always been: intentional, meaningful,‬ ‭ and full of love.‬

Now, after more than a decade together, they’re stepping into this next chapter excited for‬ ‭ everything ahead building a home, continuing to explore the world, sharing quiet nights together,‬ ‭ and creating a life that feels just as natural and joyful as the one they’ve already built.‬ ‭ At the core of it all, their story is simple:‬ ‭ They started as best friends and never stopped being exactly that.‬
